KSA launches Jeddah Gateway housing project

The 192,000sqm project will have 30 buildings of eight to 16 floors, offering a total of 1,952 units

Saudi Arabia’s government has announced the launch of the ambitious Jeddah Gateway housing project on a 192,000sqm area, east of the Haramain Expressway.
According to a Saudi Gazette report, the project will boast 30 buildings of eight to 16 floors, offering a total of 1,952 housing units, with four to six apartments on each floor. The project will be implemented by Sundus Developers, the report added.
This is the Saudi housing ministry’s second project in Jeddah for the Kingdom’s citizens. It had previously distributed housing units at Rabigh and in King Abdullah Economic City.
“The housing units will be handed over to the beneficiaries within three years of signing the lease agreement,” remarked Naif Al Suhaim, general manager of Sundus. He added that the project would have 3-bedroom and 5-bedroom apartments of 134sqm and 196sqm respectively, and that they would have balconies and other additional facilities.
Prices for the apartments would range from $98,610 to $157,243.
“About 40% of the area surrounding the buildings will be full of greenery,” Al Suhaim said, adding that the housing complex would be provided with educational, healthcare and religious facilities, while a hypermarket and a 47,590 sqm commercial center for shops selling different products will also be developed, he concluded.
