Ajman’s Al Zorah Development Company, a joint venture between the emirate’s government and Lebanon’s Solidere International, has revealed two new residential communities to be built at a combined value of AED1.5 billion ($408m).
The Golf Estates gated community consists of 800 units, including villas, townhouses and apartments at the 18-hole Nicklaus Design Golf Course within The Fairways district.
The Al Zorah Beach Residences comprises 134 chalet-style villas and apartments in The Shores district. Both communities will be located on the 5.4 million sqm Al Zorah project
The Golf Estates community will feature pedestrian trails, walkways, a neighbourhood park and several other community facilities. Most of the homes will overlook the park, the golf course or the project’s 1 million sqm of natural mangroves.
Construction on both communities will begin early next year, Al Zorah said. The Golf Estates project is slated for completion in 36 months, while the Beach Residences will be complete in 24 months.
The initial phase of the Al Zorah development includes the golf course and clubhouse which will be open in December this year, followed by 42 Golf Villas by mid-2016. Early 2016 will see the first of four marinas open to boat and yacht owners. The upcoming 5-star Oberoi Al Zorah resort will also open doors early next year.
