Revealed: Shortlisted nominees for the Middle East Consultant Awards 2020

The sixth edition of the Middle East Consultant Awards will take place on January 20 at the Ritz Carlton JBR in Dubai. Following an extensive judging process by regional experts, the editorial team has announced the shortlisted nominees.

The 2020 edition attracted more than 170 nominations across 25 categories. According to the Middle East Consultant editorial team, the Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, Lighting Design Consultancy of the Year, Project of the Year, Specialist Consulting Company of the Year, Under 30 Champion of the Year and Women in Construction Professional of the Year were the categories that drew the most nominations.

“Despite the devastating impact of COVID-19 on people’s lives and the construction industry, we received more nominations on the whole for the 2020 MEC Awards than we did for the 2019 event. The Project of the Year category drew the most nominations (22), while the Executive of the Year, Under 30 Champion of the Year and Women in Construction: Professional of the Year categories drew 20, 14 and 17 nominations respectively. We wish all of the shortlisted individuals and companies the best of luck and look forward to seeing them at the Awards gala on January 20,” said Jason Saundalkar, Editor of Middle East Consultant.

The outdoor gala dinner will begin at the Ritz Carlton JBR at 7pm on January 20, and will strictly adhere to COVID-19 related safety protocols and precautions. The event will incorporate social distancing measures and every attendee will be expected to wear masks, unless eating or drinking at their respective tables.

The Middle East Consultant Awards 2020 are supported by Silver Sponsors – Intertek and K Tech Consulting, Bronze Sponsors – 12d Model and Global Construction Solutions, Category Sponsors – Arminox, CDE and MZ Architects, and Network Sponsor – Atkins.
