Aldar Properties begins handovers of homes at The Bridges
Developer said that it is making solid progress across all its developments on Yas Island in a recent construction update
Aldar Properties has started handing over the 636 apartments within the first three towers at The Bridges on Reem Island in Abu Dhabi. The developer says construction was advancing at a steady pace on the remaining three towers in the development.
According to a statement, the Bridges will feature pop-up shops, a café and outdoor fitness equipment.
The developer noted that solid progress is being made across all of its developments on Yas Island. In its update on construction progress, Aldar said Reflection, a 374-apartment development, is making strong progress and is almost a quarter complete.
Customer handovers are also said to have begun at the first two precincts at Yas Acres, the golf and waterfront villa and townhouse development. Final installations are currently taking place in precinct D, with future activity focused on laying asphalt and undertaking snagging works, Aldar said.
Rashed Al Omaira, executive director (Commercial) at Aldar Properties said, “The Bridges brings the very best of Reem’s canal, park, waterfront and city skyline views and Yas Acres emphasises a sense of community with leisure at the heart of everyday life.”
The developer explained that it has made virtual home tours available for its customers. In response to COVID-19, specialised disinfection services are being used on homes being handed over, in line with Aldar’s efforts to ensure a safe and seamless handover process.
Construction progress has passed the half-way point for the Water’s Edge development at the centre of Yas Island, the developer explained. The project comprises 13 mid-rise residential blocks and features studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments.
Aldar stated that onsite activity at its Lea development has focused on general surveying and ground preparation, as well as trench lowering for sewerage and drainage for the 238 land plots.
