Parsons MEA receives BSI Kitemark for BIM Level 2 Accreditation

BSI is one of the most respected and reputable standards, certification, and assessment providers in the world

Parsons has announced that it has received BIM Level 2 Kitemark Accreditation from the British Standards Institution (BSI).

BIM Level 2 Kitemark is said to be the benchmark in best practice, consolidating all project and asset information, documentation, and data at the design and construction phases of a project using BIM processes.

The Kitemark, a quality mark which is owned and operated by BSI, is one of the most recognised symbols of quality and safety and offers true value to consumers, businesses, and procurement practices, Parsons says.

The new BSI Kitemark for BIM Level 2 is said to provide the most robust measurement of an organisation’s delivery of BIM projects, certifying businesses for their diligence in design and construction, asset management, supply chain management, delivery of customer service excellence, and information security.

“BIM is helping us to improve efficiency, which is an added benefit for Parsons as well as for our clients. The volume of information available to us allows us to make smarter decisions, improve collaboration, and control costs, which ultimately leads to successful projects,” said Gary Adams, Parsons Group President.

Parsons’ Built Environment–Infrastructure Solutions team achieved BSI Kitemark Certification for BIM Level 2 Design and Construction, certifying information management for the capital/delivery phase of construction projects using building information modelling in accordance with BS 1192:2007, PAS 1192-2:2013, BS 1192-4:2014, and the implementation of a security-minded approach specified through PAS 1192-5:2015.
