ENBD REIT Dubai school project on track for launch

ENBD REIT, the Nasdaq Dubai-listed Shari’a compliant real estate investment trust managed by Emirates NBD Asset Management, has said that work on its South View School in Remraam Community in Dubai is progressing well and is on track for completion by the beginning of the next academic year, commencing September 2018.

Built on a plot covering a total of 183,504sqft, the total gross floor area of the school will be 132,000sqft. At full capacity, the school will be able to accommodate 1,800 children. It will start from the FS1 level, through to the 12th grade, a statement from ENBD REIT said.

“We are pleased to announce that the concrete has been poured for the entire foundation with the support columns for the next levels to be erected in the coming week,” said Tim Rose, head of Real Estate at Emirates NBD Asset Management.

“The project is currently meeting its delivery timeline for opening at the beginning of the next school year. We believe that this school will enhance the Remraam community with the offer of a first-class British curriculum institution,” he noted.

The school will be operated by Interstar Education, part of Interstar Advisory Services, which currently runs the Victory Heights Primary School in Dubai Sport City. South View School will be Interstar Education’s fifth Dubai campus and its second British curriculum school once completed.

“We are looking forward to the complete structure of the school being completed by the end of this year. This is an exciting time for Interstar Education and an important development for local community,” said Amit Kothari, executive director of Interstar Education.

“Since its establishment in 2000, Interstar Education has provided schooling to 15,000 children across five campuses in the UAE and India. The group runs two Delhi Private Schools in the UAE, and first entered the British curriculum with Wonder Years Nursery in Dubai Sports City,” stated Kothari.
