Empower to focus on district cooling at WGES

The fourth edition of the World Green Economy Summit (WGES 2017) will take place in the UAE in October, and Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has announced that it will focus on district cooling services.

The company will highlight the advantages of district cooling solutions, and plans to demonstrate innovative solutions and unique business models to attendees. The firm will also highlight green building solutions, policies, plans, and the latest research on district cooling systems.

“We’re very excited to participate at the upcoming WGES. At Empower, we’re trying to raise the bar on building district cooling efficiency and our participation at WGES will not only help us to spur new ideas, but also shape the industry by presenting information on the benefits of district cooling technology,” said Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.

The summit is organised under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. It will take place on October 24 and 25 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“District cooling has gained a lot of momentum in the past few years. Our participation in the event will offer us an opportunity to encourage the public to adopt district cooling solutions and provide information on cutting-edge technology, projects and solutions that help in energy conservation. Events like WGES not only help to increase public awareness, but also set the agenda for public debate and positive action,” added Shafar.
