Patrick Ditcham has joined property consultancy Cavendish Maxwell as a partner, and joint head of the machinery and business assets department. The move reflects the firm’s desire to address opportunities in new territories around the region.

Ditcham previously worked for Lambert Smith Hampton, and has been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) since 2000. He has also been on the international board for the machinery and business assets professional group since 2005.

On joining Cavendish Maxwell, Ditcham said: “I’m excited to start a new challenge within Cavendish Maxwell, and look forward to working with the team to further develop their already extensive service lines, and open up opportunities in new territories. I am fortunate to be joining such a respected company that prides itself on top quality service.”

Cavendish Maxwell was established in 2008, and has made a name for itself as one of the UAE’s most influential property consultancies. The company’s reports are used for loan security, audit, insurance reinstatement, dispute resolution, risk management, debt recovery and performance analysis.

Jay Grant, chairman and founder of Cavendish Maxwell, said: “Patrick’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge has already made him a key addition to the firm. We view his appointment as being fundamental to our commitment to being the leading company in this sector of our industry in the GCC. I’m confident that Patrick will play a key role in driving this department forward, providing and implementing high quality solutions for our clients. It is very fortunate that we were able to find someone of Patrick’s caliber to fulfil this role.”
