Starwood Hotels and Resorts has announced plans to open a Four Points by Sheraton in Ras Al Khaimah, marking its first property in the emirate.

The hotel, being launched in collaboration with Hamarain Real Estate, is due to open in 2019. It will offer 300 rooms and serviced apartments, four food and beverage outlets, and have free WiFi in public areas.

The hotel is part of a larger mixed-use development that will feature offices, residences and a shopping mall.

It will be Starwood’s first property in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and the fourth Four Points by Sheraton in the UAE.

“We are excited to sign our first hotel with Starwood and look forward to contribute to the growing development of the tourism sector in Ras Al Khaimah. We believe with its modern style and great value, Four Points by Sheraton Ras Al Khaimah will create a new benchmark in the emirate,” said Yousef Hamarain, Managing Partner at Hamarain Real Estate.

Starwood currently operates 53 hotels and resorts across the Middle East and a pipeline of over 40 hotels. The company says it is on target to operate 100 hotels in the Middle East by 2020.
